Holland Village on the Singapore map
Holland Village is located within the Queenstown district, which is within the Tanjong Pagar electoral boundary. It is also within district “10” and is considered a “central” district although it is sometimes classified under the “west” district.
What forms the Village
Holland Village consists of:
3. the lane, Jalan Merah Saga, within Chip Bee Gardens, which is across Holland Ave and the two Lorongs.
*(a malay term for lane)
Items 1 and 2 above make up the traditional village proper while the third, Jalan Merah Saga, which began seeing retail activities during the 80’s and 90’s, started attracting crowds from the village proper.
Now, items 1,2 and 3 are the key attractions of Holland Village and have become synonymous with the Holland Village of today.
You can exit the Holland Village MRT from the Chip Bee Gardens side or the Lorong Liput side. However, lifts are available only on the Lorong Liput side.
