How come there is no information about the pioneer that made Holland Village.
Go ask the older residents of Holland Village areas and there can tell you who is Mr Tan Ah Sai and how he contribute to the building of Holland Village
The windmill thingy was built few years back as a landmark icon. It was a cinema in its olden days and later became a series of shop before it became the "mall" now.
The crystal jade main store was used to an electric appliance store before it turn into a California restaurant and then the Chinese restaurant. The Crystal Jade la main and Xiao long bao precesser was KFC after the original coffee shop close down.
Before the restaurants set in, Holland Village even have a herbal shop and tailor. Also there use to be a few bookshop in the past. There used to be a Times bookshop opposite 2am resturant and a novelty shop that sell Dc and marvel comic stuff on the 2nd level of Face Bistro. There was also a Wordshop at where the willmil place is, which housed a lot of English books.

I missed the old Holland Village

Thanks for providing some information about the retail history of the village. This is another perspective to look at the village and I am sure many have missed these outlets.
